For me, the most favored part is the Retina display which makes everything you see on iPod Touch 4 looks amazing. Games, movies and photos, all these are crisp and sharper. And that’s maybe what they call it “cutting edge”. I did try it with 720p movies, and the new iPod Touch 4th gen performs better than I expected! Vibrant image quality with stunning motions. Now I’m going to transfer all my blu-ray movie collections to the iPod Touch 4th gen. And I’d like to share with you how to shrink blu-ray movies to 720p video on Mac and put the blu-ray movies on iPod Touch 4.

Blu-Ray to iPod Touch Ripper for Mac
External BD drive that compatible with your Mac
iTunes v10
Step 1. Get ready for the blu-ray to iPod Touch 4 conversion.

b. MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
c. Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
In iPod group you can find MPEG-4 and H.264 encoded iPod Touchvideo formats up to 640*480. To get 720p HD video quality, you got to do some format setting work. In order to shrink Blu-Ray to iPod Touch 4th Gen 720p video, you may follow HD Video>>H.264 HD Video (*.mp4), and click on “Settings” button to set video and audio parameters as it shows in the following picture:
You may click “Save As” and save this settings as a new format for iPod Touch 4th Gen, and find it in Custom group next time.
