I had the same problem with my old 1st gen touch (come to think of it, my 2nd gen might too…haven’t checked). The only way to calibrate, is if the app has a calibration utility built it, it will simply calibrate for that app.

just so u know i only use my ipod for hacking… so my location based services aren’t the best. but on my 3g it pin points me perfectly, so maybe all of u touch users should spend 200 dollars for the iphone and then the 30 dollar per phone (4 phones) activation fee and then the 80 dollar (i only have a few months left on my contract) per phone (4 phones) termination fee from verizon and then the 10 dollars more the at&t plan costs and then 5 dollars for 200 txts per phone (2 need txing) and then the 30 dollar data plan per phone (2 phones need it)! i had to so u can too!

I have just bought a Rover 25 and I can’t get my ipod to work throught the stereo. It’s a goodmans with a port for usb connection but my ipod says shows the screen it has when you plug it into the computer and won’t play. Also the cigarette lighter doesn’t work so I can’t charge anything. Is there anything I can check before I go to the garage?
well update your ipod software to make sure you can use the USB connection or just buy a transmitter that can go on batteries or goes on a cig jack. try to find a blown fuse for your cig jack, that might solve some problems
Check the fuse for the cigarette lighter as it is most likely blown.
The USB port on the stereo may only be suitable for plugging in memory sticks and not for Ipod connection.
there are a couple of things that you can connect through the Aux. If you had the stereo installed I would run that question by them.
